Katherine (Kate) Burnham 鈥�23 and Jacquelin (Jackie) Prunier 鈥�23 have been awarded Coccia Foundation Scholarships for study in Italy in 2022.

Hamilton Sustainability Club, HSC, hosted an on-campus thrift shop on Dec. 3, and its success proved thrifting is here to stay. Catherine McFarland `22 explained, 鈥淕en Z is very conscious of our individual footprints and passionate about thrifting, so I thought it was great that HSC was able to bring this opportunity right to the Hill.鈥�

She came in for a bit of friendly ribbing from co-workers when Business Insider named her one of 鈥�2021鈥檚 rising stars of the electric vehicle industry,鈥� but that was OK. 鈥淚t was really exciting, despite the teasing,鈥� said Claudia Morse 鈥�19.

Members of the Hamilton community gathered on Nov. 30 for the third annual Lighting of our Village event, sponsored by Student Activities. Students, faculty, and staff celebrated what light means to different cultural and faith traditions and its value as a symbol of hope.

The college semester Beth Merrill 鈥�94 spent in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, would shape her life鈥檚 work 鈥� a nonprofit that sows literacy.

While many college undergraduates have the opportunity to conduct research, few see their work published in an academic journal. But this is exactly what Hannah Petersen 鈥�22 and Ashley Garcia 鈥�22 accomplished with the article 鈥淪chools as racialized organizations in policy and practice,鈥� published last month in the international, peer-reviewed Sociology Compass.

She picked Hamilton partly because she loved to write, but Helen Santoro 鈥�15 majored in neuroscience and figured she would eventually earn a doctorate in that subject. She was well on her way when she flipped her career 鈥� now she's a medical journalist.

After serving as president of the Hamilton Consulting Club, Joe Reiner 鈥�22 will continue his passion at L.E.K. Consulting 鈥� all while working in his hometown of New York City. Previously, Reiner interned at a venture capital firm where he enjoyed supporting new portfolio companies and conducting market research.
