Designer and artist Bruce Mau, the co-founder and CEO of the global design consultancy Massive Change Network, told the Class of 2025 that they are all designers of their own futures with the power to inspire change at Hamilton鈥檚 Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 25, in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.


On May 16, a group of students, faculty, and community members gathered at 91制片厂鈥檚 Peters Observatory to witness something more than a sky tour. Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York, the Hamilton men鈥檚 hockey team and Assistant Professor of Physics Adam Lark helped surprise a local teenager, Matthew, with a professional-grade telescope 鈥 his long-awaited wish.
Softball pitcher/utility player Emma Tansky '25 and men's hockey defenseman James Philpott '25 were honored as 91制片厂's top athletes from the Class of 2025 at the Jack B. Riffle Celebration for senior varsity athletes on Tuesday, May 20.

Congratulations 2024-25 Class & Charter Day Student Awardees
At Hamilton鈥檚 annual Class & Charter Day convocation on May 13, 142 students were honored with academic prizes and scholarships, and faculty teaching award recipients were recognized. Delbert 鈥淒el鈥 Gonzales 鈥25 was awarded the James Soper Merrill Prize, and Mohammad 鈥淚sa鈥 Khan 鈥26 received the Fillius Drown Prize Scholarship. Associate Professor of Philosophy Justin Clark served as the keynote speaker.

From sunny skies to drenching downpours, Reunions Weekend brought all kinds of weather 鈥 and even more joy 鈥 as more than 1,000 alumni, family, and friends returned to the Hill.

Recent graduate Deanna Durben 鈥25 engaged in research across the domains of sociology and psychology during her time at Hamilton. As the recipient of the B.F. Skinner Prize, the Jonathan Marder Prize, and the David J. Gray Prize in Sociology, it鈥檚 no surprise that she excelled in her research pursuits. In 2024, her efforts culminated with a publication in Sage journals titled 鈥淯nderstanding autistic camouflaging: The use of online community discussions and stigmatized identity research.鈥

Associate Professor of History Mackenzie Cooley is one of nine winners of the 2025 Dan David Prize. Winners are awarded $300,000 each to recognize their contribution to the study of the human past and to support their future endeavors, making it the largest history prize in the world.

Three jet-setting members of the class of 鈥25 are packing their bags and heading to new countries through the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) awards. They will return to study abroad favorites, embrace new cultures, and serve as bridges between the U.S. and the world. In addition, Jason Le 鈥23 is the recipient of an ETA Award to Vietnam.

Delbert Gonzales 鈥25, a theater major at Hamilton and winner of the College鈥檚 James Soper Merrill Prize this year, is committed to pursuing a career in the theatre industry. However, this path did not always seem a viable option to him. Growing up in Louisiana, Gonzales described how his school didn鈥檛 provide much support or many opportunities in theatre. His overall inexperience left him not knowing if he would ever 鈥渂e good enough鈥 to truly pursue the art.
