Last year Riley Nichols 鈥21 developed a program titled 鈥淧hilosophy with Children鈥 with 12 other students under the direction of John Stewart Kennedy Chair of Philosophy Marianne Janack. The group developed and delivered virtual weekly lessons exploring age-appropriate topics in philosophy with groups of Clinton elementary and middle school students. Some of the lesson plans developed by the Hamilton students have been selected and published by PLATO (Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization).

Tommy Keith 鈥22 knew that he wanted to do something service-oriented after college. As he considered his options, his love for kids, and his interest in educational equity brought him to Teach For America (TFA), a nonprofit organization that brings 鈥減romising leaders鈥 to teach in low-income communities. For the next two years, he will be teaching 7-12th grade English in the Mississippi Arkansas Delta Region.
