In a Washington Post op-ed titled 鈥淔lorida is trying to roll back a century of gains for academic freedom,鈥� President David Wippman and co-author Cornell Professor of American Studies Glenn Altschuler began by outlining the wave of 鈥渆ducational gag orders鈥� banning the teaching of 鈥渄ivisive concepts鈥� enacted by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and other political leaders.

Chaplaincy focuses on encouraging students鈥� sense of identity through religious, spiritual, cultural, and moral engagement, on a community level and individually. The Fermans will be playing significant roles in students鈥� lives as they facilitate Jewish experiences that will enrich their minds and bring diverse Jewish voices to speak on campus.
