Three students spent part of their summer conducting research on local water quality with Assistant Professor of Geosciences Emily Baker. Holly Mirales 鈥26 tells what the students did and learned.

The 91制片厂 Summer Program in Philosophy (HCSPiP) began in 2018 and has been a huge success ever since 鈥 including in an article featured by the American Philosophical Association. This year鈥檚 program welcomed students from as nearby as Hamilton and as far afield as Indonesia and Colombia. We sat down with Professor of Philosophy Russell Marcus, HCSPiP鈥檚 organizer, and two Hamilton students to learn about the program and what went on this summer.

Many people assume that being pre-med means sacrificing hobbies and travel opportunities. Not so for Carolyn Levin 鈥26, a biochemistry and art double major, who is nurturing her pre-med goals by tapping into her enthusiasm for ceramics. With the help of an Emerson grant and the Global Study Office, she has traversed continents, languages, and ceramics studios to explore her passion.
