Four faculty members were approved recently for tenure by Hamilton鈥檚 Board of Trustees. They include Anne Feltovich (classics), Siobhan Robinson (psychology), Pavitra Sundar (literature and creative writing), and Andrea Townsend (biology).

A longtime commitment to community service has led Maddy Totman 鈥�20 to the next step on her career path 鈥� she will join the national service organization AmeriCorps and teach math at Match Charter School in Boston.

After learning about life in Malaysia from students she tutored in nearby Utica, Abby Rosovsky 鈥�20 will head to the Southeast Asian country in January as the recipient of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship.聽

What better way for a musician to pay tribute to her graduating friends than creating a music video? That鈥檚 what Jiin Jeong 鈥�21 did, but she took it a step further by creating a video montage of Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No.1, with members of the 91制片厂 Orchestra, faculty, and others.

Inspired by her study abroad experience in Asia last year, Eliza Renn 鈥�20 is eager to return and learn about education reform in Taiwan. She鈥檒l do that in 2021 as the recipient of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship.

The 208th Commencement was unlike any other in Hamilton鈥檚 history. Due to COVID-19, the College held a virtual ceremony celebrating the 497 members of the Class of 2020 and honoring many of the annual traditions on Sunday, May 24.

Two internships with consumer package goods companies led Torrey Foster 鈥�20 first to his senior thesis topic and now to a job with Cadent Consulting Group, a sales and marketing firm.

Eleni Broadwell 鈥�20, the recipient of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship, is eager to teach English in Taiwan next year. 鈥淭aiwan has made great strides in the past few decades to move away from rote learning and make schooling more interactive,鈥� Broadwell said. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a greater emphasis on critical thinking skills and the arts, which I think is wonderful.鈥�

Academic achievement prizes, prize scholarships, and other recognition of student accomplishments were announced at Hamilton鈥檚 first virtual Class & Charter Day convocation on May 11. President David Wippman announced the award recipients from the Chapel in the annual event that this year was viewable online.
