A. Todd Franklin, the Eugene M. Tobin Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Africana Studies, along with co-editor George Yancy, the Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Philosophy at Emory University, produced a recently released volume marking 70 years since the murder of Emmett Till in August of 1955.
The volume, , published by Bloomsbury Press, is a collection of essays by a wide range of Black scholars who take up Emmett Till’s Casket as a focal point for reflection on anti-Black racism, past and present, in hopes of rallying people against it as we turn toward the future.
