More than 325 members of Hamilton鈥檚 497-member Class of 2020 returned to College Hill on Saturday, June 4, for the Commencement celebration that would have happened two years ago, had the COVID pandemic not intervened.

What has the Class of 2020 been up to since graduating? As the College prepares to give them the in-person Commencement they deserve, a handful of class members share how College Hill has shaped their post-graduate pursuits.

Hamilton鈥檚 Peter Kosgei 鈥�11 was part of the four-person Class of 2022 that was inducted into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Track & Field Athlete Hall of Fame.

Haoying 鈥淚vy鈥� Huang 鈥�22 understands that, although fun, a career in the art industry requires immense dedication to one鈥檚 craft. As she heads to Columbia University to pursue a master鈥檚 degree in modern and contemporary art: critical and curatorial studies, she reflects on her experiences at Hamilton.

President David Wippman announced the appointment of Ngonidzashe Munemo as vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty at 91制片厂 effective July 1. Reporting directly to the president, Munemo will serve as the chief academic officer and the primary voice of the faculty.

Members of Hamilton鈥檚 Class of 2022 walked off the Commencement stage, canes in hand, and out into the world ready to make a difference and take the lead on global issues and needs.

The X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) lab uses x-rays, a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, to determine the chemical composition of rocks, minerals, and soils. This data can be used to interpret important information about a rock鈥檚 history, including how and when it formed.

Is there life on other planets? What does the term 鈥榁iking鈥� really mean? Is Earth due for another reversal of the magnetic field? Expert faculty members from several departments, including history, east Asian languages, art history, geosciences, government, and physics, share a little-known fact about their discipline.

Robert 鈥淩.J.鈥� Corba 鈥�22, a biochemistry major from Orefield, Pa., will conduct clinical research at Sloan Kettering as a part of his ultimate goal to be a physician.

In their final days as Hamilton students, more than 200 members of the Class of 2022 planted nearly 500 trees in an effort to combat climate change and help the College achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
