Hamilton鈥檚 Model United Nations (MUN) team competed in the Columbia Model United Nations in New York (CMUNNY) conference from Sept. 27 to Sept. 30 in New York City. The conference invited colleges from all over North America to compete over the weekend, engaging students in 19 specialized committees.

Nicole Taylor 鈥�19 has been helping Hamilton students vote since her first year on campus. Taylor explained, 鈥淚 would be talking to my new friends about politics and I鈥檇 say, 鈥榃ell, you know, the only way you can really voice your opinion at this stage in your life is to vote. Are you registered to vote?鈥� and they鈥檇 be seniors and they鈥檇 say, 鈥楴o.鈥欌�� This led her to teach some of her peers about the registration process and ultimately helped foster her passion for campus voter engagement.

Through Hamilton's Bristol Fellowship, psychology grad Monika Rybak 鈥�18 will spend a year traveling the world to research tattoo traditions and how inking experiences differ across cultures.

Isabel O鈥橫alley 鈥�18, recipient of a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, will travel abroad to study the production and effects of therapeutic radio next year. Hamilton had four recipients in 2018.

The 91制片厂 Arboretum鈥檚 2017-18 Saturday Speaker series concludes on Saturday, April 28, with Marta McDowell, author and horticulturist.

Stephen Venables, British mountaineer and author, will discuss his climbing career on Monday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in the Kennedy Auditorium, Taylor Science Center. This lecture is free and open to the public.

California Institute of Technology Chemistry Professor Harry Gray will present the James S. Plant Distinguished Scientist Lecture, titled 鈥淔uel from Sunlight and Water鈥� on Tuesday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m., in the Chapel
