Working on your college essay can be a stressful experience — but it doesn’t need to be if you have the right attitude and guidance to keep you on track. That’s what our admission officers will provide in this interactive panel discussion. While we’re not looking for perfection in your essay, we do hope to get to know you better through your writing, and we’ll share some ideas and best practices to keep in mind when you sit down to write your essays this fall.

What is demonstrated interest? How does it factor into an applicant's candidacy at Hamilton? How can you show demonstrated interest? Does Hamilton's application include supplements? Get the answers to all these questions - and more - at this virtual event.

At Hamilton, relationships and personal connections matter … and that relationship begins when you are in the college search process. One of the best ways to explore your potential fit with Hamilton and connect with the admission office is through a personal interview. Our panelists will provide admission interview tips, highlight ways to make the most of your interview experience at Hamilton (and we suppose elsewhere, if you must!), and answer all of your questions.

FAFSA. CSS Profiles. Net Price Calculators. Need Blind. Demonstrated Need. Estimated Family Contribution. What does this all mean? We know that the world of college financial aid can be overwhelming for many students and their families as it adds another layer of complexity to an already stressful college application process. It doesn’t have to be confusing! Join us for this event, where we'll demystify the process of applying for financial aid, talk about our generous resources, and provide some guidelines and financing options for you and your family to think about as you consider this important investment.

Learn about Hamilton's application plans and explore how applying to Hamilton under one of our binding Early Decision options may be a good choice for you. We'll also cover general application information and answer questions from prospective students, no matter which application plan you're thinking of applying under.

Tuesday, October 21 - 7 p.m.
Join members of our Admission and Financial Aid leadership team in “The Room Where it Happens” (that is a reference to our favorite Broadway show, for those paying attention). Our panelists will answer your questions and provide guidance on topics that may be on your mind as you navigate your college search.

Thursday, November 13 - 7 p.m.
Moderated by Executive Director of Admission Jake Browne, this student panel will explore the myriad ways you'll be able to expand your perspectives as you participate in activities outside of the classroom. Whether your interests lie in athletics, student-led clubs, the arts, or all of the above, this event will highlight the robust opportunities for students to be active in Hamilton’s community. We hope that you can join us and visualize yourself as a Hamilton Continental!

Thursday, December 18 - 7 p.m.
We want to make sure you have all the information you need to finalize and submit your application to Hamilton. Dean of Admission John McLaughlin is hosting an “Ask Me Anything” session so you can get answers to any of your last-minute questions!
