So, in my previous post, I told you about the cat that came out of nowhere and pounced on this innocent bird. I managed to take a picture of the bird Cat {update: 1/24/2013: I meant to say Cat! LOL} and its kill.
It was so totally awesome how the cat came out of nowhere and pounced on the bird. Totally amazing. It freaked out both Lucas and I, but I was so totally awe stricken.
After claiming the bird in its mouth, it ran to a corner, where a neighbor keeps its electric and water meters inside a cage. The brown thing on the ground the cat is looking at is the bird. It’s so sad, but on the other hand, I can’t think of a better way to explain the circle of life to a 4 year old than have him experience it first hand. 
I seized the opportunity to talk to Lucas about life, and then we watched Lion King after. It was amazing, I felt like he learned something.
However, I did have a hard time convincing Lucas that the cat was not at all evil, it was just acting the way cats were supposed to, and it just so happened the bird was there.
It was either the cat was super awesome or that was some dumb bird. Or perhaps it was just the bird’s time to go.
