Life According to Me

I started blogging almost 3 years ago because I had a lot of free time (something that I seem to be lacking these days).

Blogging has helped me cope with the stress life has to throw at me and it has kept me sane (well, as sane as what is normal for me at least). I have met a lot of wonderful people and have even established friendships that I know will last a lifetime.

This is why this year, I have decided to join the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011 Writing Project started by Janette Toral. There are so many new blogs out there that I think deserve to be recognized for their awesome informative and influential content but unfortunately I can only choose 10.

Here are my nominees for the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011: 

Mommy Survival Guide – As a mom myself, I find it interesting to read about other moms’ experiences about motherhood and it comforts me to know that someone goes through similar things I go through. I can relate very well to this blog because I am a mom myself, I also learn new things and see motherhood from someone else’s perspective, which is why I believe it deserves to be one of my Top 10.

My Green Living Ideas – I love Mother Earth, and I think that everyone should do their part to ensure that future generations still have a planet to live on. This blog promotes eco-living and raises environmental awareness, if that isn’t a blog with a purpose, then I don’t know what is.

Notepad Corner – I love learning about people and their lives. I learn a lot from this blog and it has helped me manage my household better. If you’re looking for a blog that has substance, then this is it.

The Pepperific Life – A slightly different view on motherhood from mine, this one is from a single mom’s perspective which is why I find it very interesting. I think that single mommies are the strongest of people. Find out how this super mom single-handedly seasons her life with a dash of salt and pepper.

Certified Foodies – My family and I love to eat! I am not adventurous when it comes to picking new things on the menu though, because I don’t like to be disappointed and there’s nothing more disappointing than not being satisfied with your food. However, I will try everything once. This blog gives me the 411 on which food I should try and which ones I can do very well without. It features all sorts of food from different places as well, it’s like a travel and food blog rolled into one! How awesome is that?

LEVYousa – The name of the blog alone sparked my curiosity because it reminded me of Harry Potter, and true enough, the blog’s name was inspired by a spell from the famous movie/book series. However, this blog isn’t about Harry Potter and his friends, although it is equally entertaining. It follows the life and adventures of its author, Levy. A wonderful person from what I gather from her blog.

The Bloggers Journal – Ever wonder where I get some of my semi-html knowledge and semi-technical blogging skills? From blogs like this of course. This blog offers tips and tricks about blogging done in a way that even a first grader will understand it, and when it comes to html codes and technical blogging stuff, the simpler it is, the better.

My Painted Lips – I don’t wear make up because I have very sensitive skin, I put so much as powder on my face and I break out like there’s no tomorrow. I also have very fair skin, so I end up looking pale and sickly looking, but thanks to lipsticks, I get to add a splash of color to my face and not break out. I found a person who thinks lipsticks are awesome too and that is just fabulous!

Mom Writes – I am all for ranting on our blogs, I do that all the time, but this blog is a happy blog, it dwells on the happier side of life and made me more grateful of the things I already have and it makes me see that no matter how dark a cloud, there is always a silver lining. I go to this blog when I feel like I need to be happy, because that is what it is, a happiness blog.

The Tottering Mama – I only have one toddler and I have such a hard time with him, imagine having two! This is what impressed me with this blog, it chronicles the life of a mom of not just one but two toddlers!

I may not always be able to comment on these blogs, because I don’t always have the time, but I love reading these blogs because I learn a lot from them and I am just downright entertained, there’s nothing like reading a good blog post to relieve the stress I get from work and home life.
