Friday Frustrations: Comment Woes the Sequel!*

ConversationsWithMoms:Every day Conversations with a Mom Blog

I didn't think I'd be joining Maria for Friday Frustrations this week, but I am so frustrated with JS Kit that I just had to.

You'd think JS Kit would have found a solution for the famous "missing comments" problem they have been having for the past 11 months. They haven't! It is so frustrating to deal with the same problem over and over again!

I have tried my best to be patient with JS Kit and its flaws. When most of my friends were freaking out and nagging them about it, I kept calm and gave them the chance to work on it. They didn't even hear from me until I finally got so frustrated I just had to write about it through this meme as well, you can read that post here. If you read the comments on that post, you'll see a comment from Khris Loux, JS Kit's co-founder. After that post, I got some of my comments to show up on my blogger dashboard and then for a while everything was fine. Until last week when I was shocked to find that most of the comments on my dashboard have suddenly disappeared! They were there and then they were gone. Just like that, and I didn't know what happened or what the cause was, so I checked every post and found out that my comments were there on JS Kit but it's not showing up on my dashboard. How can something like this just happen overnight? I am freakin' tired of it. So I signed up for their support forum and wrote about how pissed off I am at the same problem recurring. I get responses from Igor, a JS Kit guy, but so far no solutions.

It's been a week and still nothing. Although Igor says my comment are in sync with blogger, it's not showing on my dashboard. Should I be the one to find a way to fix it? I think not! I wouldn't have this problem if I didn't have JS Kit installed in the first place, I regret ever installing JS Kit on my blogs.

I just want my comments back so I can finally revert to the old, ever reliable blogger commenting system. It may be boring because it doesn't have smileys and you can't reply directly via e-mail, but at least comments won't suddenly disappear and it would certainly not stress me out, so please JS Kit, just give me back my comments so we can go our separate ways.

I hate having to post about the same things but it's just frustrating!

I don't blame you for being so frustrated. I would be just as frustrated if I were you. It is especially frustrating when it comes to comments because of how we bloggers rely on them so much.

Hiya Ane..
I too noticed that my comments are missing since September last year.. though I swear they were there before and in sych with blogger.. I know coz I made sure of this.. so to find them missing NOW is totally bizzare to me.. to give JS benefit of the doubt.. since I still love the concept.. I'm thinking that it might have something to do with blogger too.. though i have not figured out to how to go about it yet..

That is too bad, I would be very frustrated, too!!!! I really hope that you can get all of your comments back!!!

Thank you for the comment on my post the other day - that is fun that Lucas likes Elmo, too :-) I agree that is best to have his birthday party when he can remember and enjoy it, when he turns 4. That is nice that Lucas is getting his molars over with, I'll be so glad when there's no more teething! I bet if he and Logan lived closer they'd be best buddies, too! :-)

JS Kit seems to be a common frustration. They still haven't gotten it right.
