I have a very diverse taste in music and although I think the 80’s have the best music, I do appreciate other genres of music as well. I have such a diverse taste in music and I can pretty much appreciate any kind of genre as long as it does not involve silent screaming. I cannot stand and will refuse to subject my ears to heavy metal, there’s a fine line between sweet beautiful music and just downright noise. No offense to people who enjoy that type of sound though, it’s just not my cup of tea so to speak.

Anyway, as I was exploring new music for my playlist, I came across an American Indie band called as The Drums.

I suppose they were inspired by exceptional drums so much that they decided to call themselves that. I love how they’re music kind of have that 80’s feel to it as well. They kind of remind me of The Beach Boys, although their music is very different from that of the former. I love finding new music and new bands to listen to. They aren’t hard on the eyes either, so yeah, and they’re not a boyband, so hurray! LOL.

So, I am obsessed with their song, What You Were, check it out.

I think they’re pretty awesome and I wonder why they haven’t made it big yet, I suppose it’s cause there are more tweens now who doesn’t appreciate good music even if it bit them, and they’re pretty much stuck with Justin Bieber. So if you’re tired of hearing Justin Bieber {LOL} it’s time to expose your tweens to new music. I’ve already started with filling Chakai’s iPod with music other than that of Justin Bieber and so far, she’s liking what I’ve put on it.
