Adding Some Fun to Your House

Just because we grow up doesn’t mean we need to stop having fun. There is no rule that says your living space needs to reflect your age. I have lots of fun pieces of furniture and cools things to play with throughout my house and nobody has ever complained. If you have children this is easier to justify.

Just tell everyone that it’s for your kids and don’t let them know that you play with the videogames more. If you plan to entertain a lot of guests it’s a good idea to get a HD projector and projection screen. They are less expensive than similarly sized HD TVs, the image can be made much larger and they are less expensive. There is something awesome about playing 4 player Halo on split screen with each area being the size of a large TV. Adults and kids alike can appreciate this. Speaking of kids, get bunkbeds for their rooms. There is something cool about a well-made set of girl bunk beds with a distinct style. You can even customize boy bunk beds with thinks like rope ladders and cool additions to keep kids entertained. I have seen some people turn a set of bunk beds into jungle scenes or pirate ships with the top bunk being the crow’s nest. Beyond being fun to climb on, bunk beds are a great space saver and can help with sleepovers and guests. They are a good option for guest rooms and a lot of people have been embracing them for their own bedrooms lately since they come in adult sizes and so many unique styles. If you can paint your walls I suggest turning one wall into an ongoing art project. Make your environment both your inspiration and your canvas. Just make sure that you don’t do any painting over exposed carpet or you’re going to be stuck with a renovation rather than an art project. I like to keep puzzles in my living room to help entertain my guests and start conversation. If you get die cast metal puzzles you don’t have to worry about losing parts or broken pieces either. Get a variety of difficulty levels and challenge friends and family with rewards for the first person to figure it out.
